Our precious 15-year-old daughter, Kate, has faced so much suffering over the last several years. Recently, she made a brave step to admit that she needs help to break free from addictions to drugs, alcohol, and other life-controlling issues. She will be spending 12-15 months at Teen Challenge, a Christian residential program for teenage girls. Besides continuing her academic education, Kate will receive Christian discipleship and life skills training to become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, and spiritually alive. Our family is grieving, but we are not without hope! We believe chains will be broken, and Kate will emerge healed, whole, and free!
What Will It Cost?
Rehabilitation is not a line item families have in their budget. We are no exception. The cost of Kate’s care over the next year + is staggering. Here is the breakdown:- $30,000 owed by the family over the course of the year. ($5,500 of that is required immediately!)
- An additional $30,000 is raised for Kate through Teen Challenge by the efforts of the students and their families.
Kate will leave before Thanksgiving, and we trust God to provide every cent we need for the day she is admitted. We also trust Him to provide for us month after month for her recovery.
He owns the cattle on a thousand hills! This is nothing for Him.
